welcome to fuelstar

FuelstarTM is a fuel-borne tin-based combustion catalyst. It can be used with petrol (gasoline), LPG, diesel and fuel oil. It relies upon nano-chemistry. It has been progressively developed over the past 18 years and has particular application in cars, trucks, boats, ships, locomotives, power stations and mining equipment.

The product brings about a more complete and more controlled combustion. In turn, this results in

  • reduced fuel consumption and/or increased power output (normally 12 to 15%)
  • reduced emissions; smoke, particulates, nitrogen oxides, 'greenhouse gases'
  • cleaner engine oil, thus improved lubrication, cleaner internal engine operating surfaces

The Fuelstar product prevents gelling of diesel fuel in cold conditions and prevents diesel bacteria prevalent in tropical and sub-tropical areas.

Fuelstar has particular application with biodiesel. This fuel type is susceptible to crystallization and degradation resulting in the blocking of injectors and filters. Fuelstar disrupts the crystallization processes thus preventing this occurrence.

Most modern cars and trucks carry a digital display on the dashboard of the rate of fuel consumption. This data is transmitted from the electronic engine management system. In the hundreds of vehicles with such a display where the Fuelstar has been installed, an improvement in fuel consumption of between 12 to 15% is commonplace and may be readily seen by the operator of the vehicle.

This reduction in fuel consumption is readily visible and there for all to see....all day, everyday.

Important note: To function correctly the tin particles generated from the Fuelstar canister must reach the engine. When they do, the improvement in engine performance is spectacular. If they do not reach the engine, as was the case with the incorrectly designed and carelessly performed test conducted in 1997 by the University of Melbourne on behalf of the New Zealand Automobile Association, there will be no improvement in engine performance at all. The reason for this was explained in detail to the AA; Fuelstar was maligned because of the failure of the test engineers to abide by the published installation instructions. Detailed installation instructions accompany the product and a help number is available for installation queries.

Fuelstar Fuel Combustion catalysts have the ability to generate more power, save fuel and reduce Greenhouse Gas to an extent unrivalled by other products and technologies.

In hundreds of thousands of installations spanning more than 18 years, Fuelstar has been proved to achieve an improvement in fuel consumption by 12 to 15% and frequently more, and to improve power output and torque by 5% and more.

Fuelstar achieves these benefits by providing a more complete and more controlled combustion, by means of the surface-oxidation catalysis which is provided by the myriad numbers of nano-dimension tin/tin oxide catalytic particles which are carried into the combustion chambers in the fuel stream. This applies to both petrol (gasoline) and diesel engines, of all sizes ranging from motorscooters & motorcycles, through to cars, 4WD's, buses, trucks, off-road equipment, gensets, boats and ships.

Why is Fuelstar the best catalyst available? Because each particle is in its highest state of catalytic effect at the moment the ignition is initiated, whether by compression (diesel) or by spark. The catalytic effect is instantaneous, and continues throughout the whole power stroke of each compression. This is the vital difference between Fuelstar and other catalytic devices/additives and explains why Fuelstar achieves results far superior to other products.

8% fuel saving or your money back

Fuelstar provides a money back guarantee that its product will save fuel by at least 8% in all engines to which the product is installed, but mostly achieves 12 to 15%. In most cases, paybeack is withing 4 to 8 weeks and requires a reduction in fuel consumption by just 1% to breakeven. Obviously the return on investment varies according to fuel prices, extent of usage etc.

what the experts say

"I have installed more than 5,000 Fuelstars over the years and have supervised the installation of thousands more. If the Fuelstar is not properly installed it will not work properly, if at all. On the other hand, properly installed, it will normally deliver fuel savings of 12 to 15% in cars & trucks and frequently more in marine, mining and industrial applications."
Peter Matthews, Consulting Engineer, Melbourne, Australia tel 0402 140 239 (international +61 402 140 230).

"In more than 100,000 installations of the Fuelstar product in Australia, I can confirm that the product more than meets the claims made for it. I have also conducted scores of dynamometer tests on engines without and then with the product and can readily confirm that it results in increased power and torque and reduced emission of CO, HC and NOx."
Tony Woods, Auto Parts Wholesalers, Gawler, South Australia tel 08 8523 5888 (international +618 8523 5888).

"In more than 1,000 installations in the past year I can readily confirm that when the Fuelstar is properly set up, it will achieve a fuel saving of 12 to 15%. This includes most petrol and diesel engines in all cars & light commercials with the exception of only a few highly efficient modern engines. We've now installed Fuelstars to most engine types. Come and see us or give us a call and we can tell you what improvement to expect from your engine.”

"I have thoroughly tested the Fuelstar on my Froude engine dynamometer on at least five different engines and can confirm that the Fuelstar product meets all the claims made for it."
Ross Calgher, Consulting and former McLaren engineer, Waitara, New Zealand

"Several trucking companies are now using Fuelstars and saving fuel to the extent of 12 to 15%, as well as reducing Greenhouse Gas emissions."
New Zealand Herald 2 August 2007

"Fuelstar is so good, it should be installed in all engines from new."
Sir Jack Brabham OBE, 3 times Formula 1 winner, UK and Australia

Fuelstar is now being installed into new trucks.

history

Tin based combustion catalysts had been used with varying degrees of success during and from the Second World War in the 1940's. However, it was not until the mid 1990's, when a research program commissioned by Fuelstar and headed by research chemist Ron Wilkinson of Melbourne, Australia, that the means of operation became fully understood. Mr Wilkinson, a Chartered Chemist, had the benefit of 37 years' experience with the CSIRO, including several years as a specialist in fuel oxidation chemistry. The revelation was that the operation of the product relied upon friction of the alloy pellets within the canister to release sub-micron particles of metallic tin/tin sub-oxide into the fuel stream. These particles are invisible to the naked eye but can be readily seen in the test laboratory using a microscope. This is nano-chemistry working at its finest. With this new-found knowledge, Fuelstar completely redeveloped its product so as to ensure that the tin particles were released with greater reliability. These particles are catalytically active and when they reach the combustion chambers a reaction takes place giving a more controlled and more complete fuel burn. The result is increased engine efficiency, saving on fuel and reduced emissions. The performance of the product is assured and guaranteed.
